New to the forums wasn't sure exactly which category to ask my question but I want to start a slam I'm pretty balanced out except ph (at about 7.7) how long should I wait after adding sodium bisulfate to start adding liquid chlorine.
Welcome to TFP! Muriatic acid is our preferred chemical to lower pH, but if all you have is sodium bisulfate, then I'd give it a good 30 minutes to fully dissolve and mix before adding chlorine.
Hey all - anything inherently wrong with using dry acid vs. MA to lower pH? I have some leftover from before I joined TFP, and my pH has crept up to the point I would like to lower it. Probably not necessary to answer the question, but my numbers: FC 7.0 CC 0 CYA 80 pH 7.8 TA 80 CH 250
