OK - I know this is an old post, but after taking out our 25' tree last summer due to disease, I REALLY need to do something to cool my pool off! I was going to mount a few brackets into the stucco of house using a stud finder and 3-4 inch nails but really want to use the block wall adjacent to the pool for the other anchors. Everything I've read up until now has said DON'T. This looks promising and I'm wondering if, 7 years later, it is still holding up for you? And it sounds like you made your own poles (welded brackets to square poles)? Can you please give me some insight into this? Thank you!!
