Treating mustard algae for the 2nd time this summer, using the SLAM method.
Quick question: we are vacuuming to waste each day. The algae is mostly on the floor of the deep end of our vinyl lined pool. Should I brush the algae that collects between vacuumings or leave it to be vacuumed out?? TIA

Mustard algae is a specific thing and it's quite rare. You can vacuum out the algae, or just wait for the dead cells to get picked up by your filter.

You likely just have plain old algae because you allowed your free chlorine to get too low.
Follow the SLAM Process and make sure your FC levels never dip below minimum per FC/CYA Levels.
