Mesh pool cover

I need a new pool cover and have the threads about mesh pool covers, nut they were all a bit dated, so thought I'd start a new one. I have a 20 x 40 pool and got several quotes for a new pool cover (including installation of the anchors). The 2 lowest quotes were about the same -- one for Merlin Dura Mesh 2, and the other for Meycolite Mesh (by Meyco). The guy that quoted Merlin says that he also could provide Meyco, but recommends Merlin. He also quoted a Merlin Smart Mesh for $900 more. I am not sure what to look at to try to compare these covers. The Merlin website says the Dura Mesh 2 provides 95% shade, whereas the Smart Mesh provides 100%. The Meyco website doesn't provide this metric.
Has anyone evaluated these or other mesh covers and can provide any insight?

Bought our Rayner Might Mesh cover from PoolCoversDirect.com back in 2016 for $3500 including shipping both ways. They sent us a pre-paid shipping box to return our original 1999 cover. UPS pick up the box from our driveway. PCD used the old cover as a pattern for our new one. It took just under 7 weeks to receive the new cover. It fit just like the old one. Highly recommended!

Here's a photo after this year's closing using our 8-year-old cover:

Not sure if you pulled the trigger yet, but I have a Merlin Smartmesh cover from 2013. I install it first week of November and it comes off early April. So it doesn't really get a lot of UV exposure. It's still in excellent shape, with no tears and it doesn't feel brittle or chalky yet. I also always open with clear water, which is mostly, I suspect, due to my late/early dates, but the more fine mesh might play some part too.
