Mat suggestions?

So we have noticed two things we need to address and I would like some suggestions on mats we should get for two areas.

First under our steps. We have the normal plastic steps and they are on our composite decking and we have noticed the steps slide when getting out so we need something under it that can handle the water and keep it in place

Second spot is when we walk into the house we need a nice absorbent mat/rug at the door to deal with the wet drippy feet and legs

so what have you guys used?

My steps are mostly on composite decking with a maybe 4" section on the steps on concrete and they don't move. In your case, you might consider some L brackets attached to the steps and the tub side to keep them in place. Another solution might be the anti skid material used under rugs. That's cheap and easy however, if your steps are hollow, there isn't much to grab on to. My steps had some wobble to them and I ended up inserting some 1/4" plywood into the steps which also gives some more surface area to help.

yeah they are definitely hollow as they don't have much weight to them. I was kind of surprised at the sliding tbh because whenever the decking is wet I still have great footing whether in bare feet or my shoes i.e. I get good grip. Probably cause the steps are just plastic and light as you commented. I'll have to look at them and see if I can do what you did. Thx
