I have the Polaris Alpha IQ+ currently. It worked amazing for about 2.5 years, then it just fell apart. First all the gears needed to be replaced (relatively cheap), shortly after that, the housing that seals all the motors and controls leaked and needed to be replaced (found one for $450), within days of replacing that, the swivel connection on the cord leaked and shorted, which is about $400 to replace.
I've done a good amount of research, and it seems in general, these robot pool cleaners only last about 3 years on average. I'm pretty much set on sticking with a robot pool cleaner. What is the best, cheapest option for a robotic pool cleaner? I'm looking for something that can run on a daily schedule, and will clean the waterline, but other than that I don't need anything fancy.
