Liner insect damage or just wear and tear from age?

I discovered a few holes in the liner between the coping and the water line at a 45° corner. Does this look like insect damage or just the liner wearing out from age (the liner was installed in March 2004)? The rest of the liner seems fine and doesn’t feel brittle.



I put a patch over the holes to help keep them from spreading. I guess new liner is in our not too distant future.

I’m amazed that your liner has lasted 20 years! That’s pretty amazing. My guess would be that it’s wear and tear.

Yep, we certainly can’t complain about how long the liner lasted. I’m sure keeping tight control of the chems per practices taught here has helped.
