Is this solar cover worth saving?

Is this cover worth cleaning and keeping or should I just buy new. It was rolled up and stored beside the pool unprotected where it looked like it hadn't been used in years. Besides the tearing/chew holes the bubbles appear in good shape and the material is still flexible.

If it makes any difference I just passed the OCLT last night and water is very clear signaling I am near (at?) the end of SLAMing. Wondering how much dragging this back into the pool sanitized but covered in grass would set me back.
Thanks

I would say trash it...they're pretty cheap. You'll probably start seeing popped bubbles floating around.

But, move it off the grass before it burns it. (Ask me how I know)

**raises hand**. Guilty as well.

.....speaking of killing the grass, That’s when I started drying the solar cover on top of the loop lock cover. It was the perfect spot for it and there was airflow underneath for aid in drying. It worked great.

Toss it! They only last a few years before they’re junk. (Especially if it was stored out in the sun when dry.) When you pick up a new one, don’t get caught up In thickness, color, etc. Just get the cheapest one that will fit your pool, and plan for replacement every few years.

We've been getting about 3 years out of our covers here on our pool in SoCal. I put the cover on around April and remove it for storage when the swimming season ends. It works very well for getting our otherwise frigid pool up to a comfortable swimming temperature AND prevents evaporation, but by year 3 the bubbles start coming off as little plastic circles which get picked up by the vac. I would definitely replace the one you show in the photo come springtime - it looks like it's very far gone.
