Well, Irma gave me about 6" of free water. It's too bad that I set the multi port valve to waste to allow it to slowly drain. I forgot my pump was scheduled to start, so..... I just pumped the pool down to the bottom of the skimmers. Sigh.....
We, let's clean up all the leaves in the bottom of the pool while it re-fills. Set up the Dolphin M-5 and tossed him in. I saw the normal movement of water above the unit, but no tracks moving. Pulled it back out and began troubleshooting. It seems one of the end gears for the active brush has decided to pick this moment in time to self destruct. When I took it off bearings went in every direction. The plastic housing holding the bearings in has self destructed. I removed the active brush and watched the unit go through start up and all gears seem to be moving, so I'm guessing no damage to the motors.
I'm finally filled back to the point that I can use my manual vacuum hose, so back to work for me.
