I was sanding down calcium ridges and nodules in my pool for around an hour. FYI: Don't check your work too often you'll end up with sanded down, bloody fingertips!
But the strange thing that happened that I think is related is when I got out of the pool, 2 separate huge piles of ants were on the pool deck. I think they must have felt the vibration of my sanding and thought it was an earthquake or something and all came to the surface.
