Installing SWG

We just received a Circupool Edge-40 and we're trying to decide the best place to install it. I've attached pictures of our current setup.

We are thinking of placing the SWG between the sand filter and the wall where it will be protected from the sun and close to our electrical box. We would reroute the pipe that is coming out of the heater so that it goes behind the sand filter, between the sand filter and the pump, around the front of the sand filter and into the "return to pool" line (first pipe on the left). In the process we would be removing the auto-chlorinator that is currently there (and never used).

Are there any problems with this plan?

Great choice to go with a SWG.

Sounds like a good plan. When you're ready to plumb, loosen the union coming off the heater and rotate the line back ~45 degrees toward the wall. Run a 90 to take your behind the filter.

Also consider building a lean-to or shade structure to protect your equipment from heat/sun exposure.

Let us know if you need help.
