I thought I would post an introduction since I am probably going to become much more of a TFP user. I was a lurker for a while, found this site and used the concepts here to clear an algae bloom a few summers ago. I finally joined last summer when I was battling some bad sand quality after I had modified our seasonal pool to use an Intex sand filter.
I've spent the past 6 months working with several different builders and we are now just a few weeks from starting construction on our first in-ground pool! I started a build thread a few days ago and I will keep it updated as we work through the process. I also decided a few days ago that it is time to become a TFP supporter. I started small and became a Bronze supporter, but I know it won't be long before I take steps up that ladder.
About me, I am a father of three. Two boys and one girl. Been married for 21 years, we got married young. Our kids are currently ages 19,16 and 12. It's been a great life! I am a software developer/database administrator, but I majored in psychology. Life has a sense of humor, I guess. I manage a team of researchers and develop automation tools for information gathering. Being a geek is fun.
Anyways, I look forward to interacting with the fine folks at TFP, I feel like I know many of you very well since I lurked for so long. It's nice to come out of the shadows.
