Been quite a while since I posted. Everyone was so much help years ago, that I never needed anything. Sorry for being a User :)
We have a newly built home and pool and it is my first season with a VSP and Heatpump. So the the question...is there an ideal pump speed to heat the pool? Is running it faster going to heat it any faster? AquaCal just says 30-70 GPM. I'm not actually sure what the GPM flow is, as the ScreenLogic App only shows RPM. I've been running at around 1500 RPM for chlorinating purposes, but still working on the ideal with the new pool and an auto safety cover etc.

Hi Andrew - The flow is mostly irrelevant to the speed of heating, just need the minimum specified by the heater or it won't run, will show a flow error code. Discussed in more detail in the following thread, probably other threads as well. Good luck. Hayward HP50CL heat pump optimal flow rate ?

Run your pump as slow as possible while still keeping the HP flow/pressure switch closed. Add 50-100 RPM to give yourself a buffer. Same concept as your SWCG.

Is running it faster going to heat it any faster?
No.
