I have a 20+ year old pool in my house that I have renovated. The main drain is connected to the skimmer and the skimmer to the pump. Currently, all the suction in my pool is from the skimmer, not the main drain. This is not helping much with filtering the plaster brushing since my pool got replastered last week. So I want to put a float valve in my skimmer to provide some suction to the main drain.
The problem is that the common 6.25" float valve is not wide enough for my skimmer. The bottom of my skimmer is 7.5" in diameter. The skimmer lid has a conch (or something similar?) on it - I've attached a picture. Does anyone know what skimmer brand or model this is and what float valve will fit? Thanks all!
