New pool owner as of last year, I am taking charge of it this year and the first thing I've done is invested in a TF100 test kit, which should arrive today. Water is currently looking good (just in time for next week's 90 degree weather!), no problems I'm just here to read about keeping the problems away, and keeping my mother-in-law from buying hundreds of dollars worth of baking soda at the pool store...
Looking into a SWG as an alternative to liquid chlorine, currently we have a stock (came with the house) of Clorox tablets, I'm interested to see what the CYA levels look like...
Interested in recommendations for safety covers as we are expecting our first child any time now, I was initially looking at an automatic one but the installer here ballparks 8-10K for an average sized pool! That's WAY out of my price range.
