How to extend a pool closing

I closed my pool as usual last fall with the intention of opening it this spring/summer. However, now we will be away for the majority of the summer months and would prefer to not open the pool this year. How do I determine how much algaecide and chlorine I should add to extend the pool closing until Spring 2020?

30,000 gallon saltwater pool with winter safety cover installed.

I think you will open to a swamp regardless what you do now. pH control would be more my concern as if you leave it high for too long you may end up with calcium scaling.

Nothing you can do unless you want to put a pretty strong sump to circulate any chemicals. Even then, pool will be green upon opening. If the cover is mesh you might want to add something to prevent mosquitoes, they shouldn't be able to get through but I don't fully trust that they won't.
