I had a compool Lx3600 with is4 poolside remote and indoor Compool control panel Cp3600. I recently had the Compool to EasyTouch Upgrade installed along with the ScreenLogic2 system so I could control the equipment with my phone. Works great for me, but the kids find it confusing, so I picked up an EasyTouch indoor control panel 8 and am hoping to use it with my system. Welll, I bought the RJ11 4 wire adapter and hooked it up to the existing phone wire from the CP3600 inside my house (ran through walls and conduit to the outdoor control box). I am not sure if there is a difference in an RJ11 vs RJ12 adapter, but the RJ11 is all I could find and it seems they both are the same size, so hopefully that isn’t an issue. Well, when I went out to the box, I found the other end of my phone line but noticed there isn’t an existing 4 wire port to plug it into other than the one being utilized by the remote function for the Screenlogic2 setup. I do have an open female ‘Com” port for an RJ11/12 to plug into so I tried plugging my existing wire into that, but no luck. With my setup, do I just need to put another RJ11 adapter (to 4 wire) and hook both that and the SL remote receiver wires and the RJ11 wires into the same slots? My is4 has been inoperable for a while and I don’t feel like spending an additional $350 on a new one, so is it possible to hook my indoor control panel to 4 of those slots and make it work that way? Any help is greatly appreciated, pictures below.

You can connect multiple controllers (screenlogic and your indoor panel) to the J20 comm port on the outdoor panel.

Before you mess with the wires, shut down your system first! (it is very important to power off the outdoor board so you don't blow up the comm chip... if you touch the red wire to either data line while the power is on, you will break your board. red is about 15volts dc, black is ground, and yellow/green are the d+/- data lines)

I would probably pull the screenlogic wires off and just test the indoor panel to make sure it works - then re-connect both.

One last thing - and I don't have one so I can't be sure - but it seems likely that the rj11 port is connected in parallel to the J20 port... so I would think you could use your rj11 cable. You just might have to use an ohm meter (or see if you can tell by looking at the board) to find out. Again, power off first.
