As always, I've followed TFP methods to have year after year of sparkling clear water. This year is no exception. The only changes, if you could only call them changes, were I only tested for FC level and PH over the winter (lot of things going on). I kept those in check, but didn't really bother checking everything else, because we had an unusually high rainy season (for Southern CA anyway. I knew going into it, I would lose salt levels, CYA levels and overall balance do to overflow drainage of the pool. So with that said, I just did my first official full run of tests and need to get the pool ready for the swim season. I'll post my numbers below and hopefully someone can give me a little direction on what to handle first. They aren't that bad, and I of course don't have any algae, but I need this thing swimable in the next few weeks.

FC = 4.5 A little high for my CYA, which actually might be lower.
TC= 4.5
CC = 0.0 Probably because of my high CYA / FC ratio
TA = 45 Probably from adjusting from 7.8 to 7.2 every few weeks
CH = 850 (nothing I can do about this)
CYA = 20? hazy, but never disappeared
Borate = 25 - 30 used second seasons test strips
PH = 7.8
OTO = 5.0 blind leading the blind
Salt = 3200 Pentair Easytouch Diagnostics reads 3200 with 6 month IC40, with replacement Flow / temp sensor.

Your numbers look really good for just starting this season. However your pH is high (for a high CH pool) and your TA is low, so before tackling the pH you may want to increase the TA a bit. Once you do that, lower the pH to about 7.4-7.5 and see how that looks on the PoolMath tool. With that naturally high CH in your area, keeping the pH down is critical to avoiding scale on the pool and your SWG plates.
