I'm looking to sell it for cheap. It's brand new in box. I got stuck with this thing, and I have no clue on how to sell it. I've tried Facebook and ebay and not 1 hit. This thing costs $1500 abd I'm only trying to get $800 or b/o.b. It costs $100 just for shipping alone. I'd be willing to split that cost with the buyer. If anybody knows of a place I can sell this unit, please help me. I'm 1 step away from being homeless and am in need of many surgeries, in order to go back to work. Sorry to be meeting under these circumstances. Things don't usually sell well here, and we recommend the avenues you already went down.
I've sold hundreds of things on the OfferUp app which used to be Letgo. Letgo was awesome but stuff sits on Offerup for months of years with hardly any views. If you do get any responses it's typically an insulting lowball offer when you already had a reasonable markdown. Most brand new things won't sell 'used' for more than half of the MSRP and even then it takes time.
Seasonal items like this one obviously have much better chances to move as the season starts, so you have that going for you pretty soon.
