Hayward Navigator uneven wear on pod

I have had a Navigator Pro for 4 years and am generally happy with it. Recently it was going in circles and I discovered one of the springs on the shoes was displaced. I fixed the spring and replaced the shoes (and to be on the safe side the flaps and wings) but it still goes in circles (not as much but still not good). I noticed as a result of the displaced spring there is uneven wear on the pod (photo attached) - could this be the cause of the circling?

Alas the new pod did not help and looking a little closer I see the left flap does not flap as much as the right flap. My assumption now is that the A-frame needs replacement which looks to be outside my comfort zone.

And I did a little bit of disassembly and discovered one of the turbine bearings was shot (all the balls were gone) - an easy replacement!
