Hayward Automation Panel Choices

I'm currently in the plumbing and steel phase of construction on my new pool and I'm looking for equipment advice, specifically around control/automation systems. I'll be using a separate light controller. I want something that is able to be controlled via app on my smartphone/tablet if possible. My pool builder tells me that Hayward panels are his preferred control systems and here are my options:

Hayward E-Command 4; HPC-4-ACT-RC; Hayward AquaConnect
Hayward ProLogic; PL-PS-8; Hayward AquaConnect

Any advice on choosing between these two controllers? Any other advice given what I've got so far? Thanks in advance!

You have to really think about what you are going to control and what you might want to control in the future. My builder had speced out the aquaplus 8v w/screen logic (phone/tablet control) it can control 3 valves and 2 relays. Lights are 1 relay, 50% full. I had him upgrade it to the aquaplus 16v. It can control 4 valves and 8 relays. Now I am going to Control 2 sets of lights independently. Lights in the steps and eventually landscape lights. And still have some spares. Here's a list of the systems and the options h they have. My pool is going in, in the fall, so no reviews of it yet

I have the Pro-logic PS-8 that was installed last Fall. Overall, I am happy with it. It did come with the new version of the aquapod. I control an attached spa with blower, 2 pumps (pool/spa and Deck Jets), heater, cleaner pump, 3 colorlogic lights, pre-plumbed for a slide that I can add an additional valve for (think I have room for 2 automated valves), plus landscape lighting if I wanted to add it to the future. If you have more than that or will not do more than that, I'd recommend jumping up to the 16. I do not have the web-based connector to use an app or the color logic module that lets you create your own light shows and has more colors.

I have the Prologic and like it. A lot easier to use and setup vs Pentair controllers. It looks like the e-command doesn't power and control salt cells. With the Prologic all you need to buy for a swcg system is a cell, the Prologic powers and controls the cell.
