Hayward Aquarite Problems: Showing -0000

Hi Everyone,

Glad to find this forum and such a wealth of knowledge!

I have a T3 turbo cell which is installed in front of the flow switch. I'm using the Turbo cell as the 12" of straight pipe before the flow switch, as per Haywards installation requirements (the flow switch is about 3" on the other side of the Turbo Cell, 15" of total straight pipe including the cell).

The trouble I'm having is that when I'm on AUTO or SUPER CHLORINATE and press the diagnosis button to see the current PPM reading it's always showing -0000? If I unplug the system it will show the actual PPM (-3200) for about 15 minutes-ish, then it switches back to -0000 consistently, and even after a full day of leaving it, stays at -0000. It says it's still chlorinating (Chlorinating LED it lit). No warning lights...

This is a brand new system/pool. It's been doing this from day 1.

Any input is appreciated!

Colin.

Well I think I've figured it out. I had the Aquarite set for 30% chlorination... when I turned it to 50% it started chlorinating. Does this mean the system has a sensor that tells it when it hits a particular %age and to no longer make chlorine?
