I have been slamming for about 2 1/2 weeks and have finally gotten to clear water. My grandkids arrived 2 days early and want to use the pool. My numbers for today are as follows:

FC 9.5
CC 2.0
TC 11.5
CYA 40
PH 7.5
TA 40
CH 400

At what levels of FC and CC would it be okay for them to swim? The lowest I have gotten CC to during this SLAM is 1.0

BTW it will be over 100 degrees for the next week:(:(:(

Thanks

Well, CC should really be 0 ... so you might have some smell and eye discomfort, but it is safe now since the FC is more than the minimum for your CYA.

Try really cleaning out your vial for the FAS-DPD chlorine test and see if the CC go away. There were reports in another thread recently that the vial was causing the CC.

I cleaned the vial with a wooden skewer and a screwdriver to get into the bottom edge. It worked!!!!! My CC is now just about showing @ 0.5....

Who would've thunk it!!!!!

Thanks for the info....if it isn't already a "sticky" someplace, then maybe it should be....
