Getting a new motor that is less noisy?

I want to get a new motor that is less noisy. I have read the stuff about my making my current motor quiet but that has not helped much. And of course I turn it off when I need to so that helps a little bit but ultimately I want to replace at some point Suggestions?
I have 18x38 in ground pool with 9 foot deep end.

I just upgraded to the Pentair SuperFlo VS 1.5HP pump. At high speed it is WAY quieter than my old single speed. At low speeds it is virtually silent. I couldn't be happier.

The VS pump will also save you a ton of money on your electric bill.

What pump do you have now? There may be a replacement motor that is quieter or possibly variable speed. Easier and cheaper than replacing the whole pump.
