I'm in my first full season of a Latham fiberglass pool. We noticed a small divot/chip on the tanning ledge of the shell (16" deep water). The pool builder said the repair would be covered under warranty. I know they have to brace the pool in order to lower the water level - and that makes me very nervous. They tell me since they are only removing 16" of water, then there is no need for bracing - agree, disagree? What questions should I ask them in order to be confident they are going to do it right?

Did they install the pool correctly? If so, I'm not sure why you don't trust them.

You’d likely remove a little less water than that to winterize your pool, and it wouldn’t be braced in that scenario. I’d be apt to listen to and agree with their assessment. I’d also assume given the timeframe of installation it’s under warranty if they destroy it in this process as well?
