Hi,

i am am a new pool owner and about a month after a pool company opened our pool and installed a new valve (?) on our sand filter, my no flow light came on for the salt cell. I cleaned the cell (no resolution) and then replaced the flow switch which I found the silver flapper was broken off. After installing new flow switch, it seemed to be working (no flow light off and generating light on). About a week later, no flow light was on again. I checked the flow switch and the silver flap is broken again. Did I get a faulty switch or is something else going on?? I did ensure the arrows were pointing in the correct direction when installing the switch.

Thanks!!

Hi,

i have a hayward super pump. Not sure which number gives you the size of the pump...BE32B10A-A0B1-4503-92C2-1B3CA4DF54E1.jpg

i didnt actually check if the flow switch inside to see if going in the right direction. I trusted the arrows. It would be odd for 2 to be assembled backwards, no?

Thanks, I got it on amazon and I don’t think it was an oem part. I’m going to buy one from an OEM and see if that lasts longer.

If im going to add chlorine in the meantime, does it have to be a specific kind for my system?

You're a little bit close to the outlet port of the multiport and the line goes from 1.5" to 2" at the T and then back to 1.5".

I think that if you can get about 10" of straight 2" pipe before going into the 2" T and then 5" of straight 2" pipe leaving the T, that would help.

You would need a new T.

Make sure that the flow switch arrow is perfectly aligned with the pipe.

I can't read the hp on the pump motor. What does it say?

OK, thanks. The pool company did the whole installation. I wonder if they would fix it for free
It is 1hp and there is a boost pump with 3/4 hp but I don’t know when this is used or comes on.
