Finally got my new pool equipment set up (unopened for 7 years)

I finally opened up my pool for the first time and have gotten great help form users here already!

I’ll eventually be adding a heater (suggestions welcomed!)

Thus is the set up

Anyway, what should I even do to start getting the pool to swimmable water? I was told to ignore the salt for now and just open it up like a typical chlorine pool.

I removed all the algae plants already. Should I just shock it and run the filter 24/7 for a few days, then vacuum, then shock again?

If running it to get the pool cleared asap, what rpm should I be running the filter? And once cleaned, what should it run at?

ill be away for a few days so just want to run it while I’m away and I’ll vacuum when I’m back.

also, a new liner is going in mid July, can’t get anyone else in sooner

You want to follow the SLAM Process page to kill/remove the algae. If it's still that way before you leave, you can leave the MPV on recirculate. Low rpm is fine.
