Filter and pump, new member

Hi all, I'm new to the site and to pools. I bought a bestway pool and I upgraded to a larger sand pump and filter. It's a blue torrent sand shark. I posted a picture of it below.I forgot what the salesman said the gph of the pump was. It has a 1/2 hp motor and it has a tank that is 14 inch . I called/emailed the company and I don't get any responses. Would you be able to tell by the 1/2 hp motor how many gph it would be. I think I saw on the pump 37 gpm which I'm guessing is gallons per minute. Can I just multiply that by 60 to get 2220 gph? Also what should a typical 14 inch tank pressure be with pump I have. Mine has been at 5 psi. Would that be a good rating? The manual isn't too helpful.

Hi, welcome to TFP! Yes, your gph conversion is correct. The starting pressure will be different for each pool due to factors such as plumbing type, distance, resistance, and diameter, but 5psi is fine for your pump. Make a maintenance log and write down that the clean pressure for your pump is 5 psi. You should backwash when you see a 20% increase from the clean pressure reading. Over time you may see a gradual increase in clean pressure. It is nothing to be alarmed at as long as it is gradual, since you won't be able to backwash out 100% of the dirt.
