I couldn't decide which Category to post this in, but I'm guessing it has something to do with water chemistry. I've noticed that the fiberglass shell feels somewhat textured or "dirty" everywhere that's underwater. Above the waterline feels smooth like glass. It doesn't feel like sandpaper, but more like a dirty car that needs a carwash. The water is crystal clear. As far as I know, all my numbers are where they need to be. I've tried to clean it with a green scotch brite pad and it doesn't seem to have any effect on it. Any thoughts on what this could be?

It's not visible at all. It looks the same above and below the water.

Hummmm I wasn't expecting that response at all.
Our shell's surface feels slightly different than above the waterline, but then ours experienced a chalky fading issue. Not sure what to think of yours yet. Do you feel the same thing on the floor and the sides equally. I have one side of my pool, where I don’t like the feel of the wall.
The floor is intentionally textured so I wouldn't be able to tell if the floor has the same issue.
@Texas Splash I attached some pictures, but I don't think you can see anything noticeable. I reached out to my pool builder (it's only a year old). He said he has noticed the same thing over the years and does not know why the texture of the wall feels different after adding water. He's going to reach out to the manufacturer (Latham) to see if they have any thoughts.
