Hi Folks,
Getting close to closing time here in Southern Ontario. My heater is off for the season as I wait for the water temps to be comfortably below 60°F which will be in the next couple of weeks. I am still continuing to monitor my water and have left the SWG on it's lowest setting. My FC is currently at 11.5 and my pH is 7.8-8.0 so after reading a number of posts on this I am wondering if this high pH is simply a reflection of the high FC. My pH has rarely, if ever been this high this season so before I use MA to bring it down I wonder if it is necessary?

When your FC is above 10, the pH test doesn't work/is inaccurate. If you want to check pH before closing, allow FC to drop below 10 and retest.

Thanks PS. I am pretty comfortable that my pH is still in range and since I will be taking my FC even higher, to match my CYA levels, when I close I don't think that I will make any pH adjustments in advance.
