Liquid Chlorine
I’m using the pool math but my FC consistently runs .5 to 2 and Ph 8.2.

Yesterdays testing results:
Ph 8.2
Cl 5-10
FC 2
CC 0
TA 80
CYA 40
CH 400

Only telling to add 7 cups liquid bleach and stays green a dm cloudy. I feel like it’s not enough bleach or enough muratic acid.

How much chlorine are you adding daily? Have you done an OCLT?
Don’t know what an OCLT is.But just looked it up. So NO I have not done that.
I have been adding weekly the recommended amount which seems awfully low. Less than a gallon up until recently. I’ve added a few gallons every other day. Someone said to try algaeside and chlorine stabilizer??

Overnight Chlorine Loss Test <-- click this

After you successfully pass the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test, raise your CYA to 50 and use the FC/CYA Levels to dose accordingly.
This time of year in AZ with our 110+ days, you will burn thru chlorine. Always add chlorine to get to the high side of the target range for your CYA level - or a bit higher.

Seriously consider a SWG. While you pay for the chlorine up front it winds up being cheaper than buying liquid chlorine in the long run.

Fill out your signature with pool, all pool equipment (including manufacturers and model numbers) and test kit info.
This assists us in providing you help without needing to ask you each time for this important information.
