I finally made the time to re-plumb my pool/spa return so that I could shut off the spa spillover and control it with automation. That all went ok (I might post some pix and lessons learned another time). But, once the install was complete, the spa would still have a tiny trickle spilling over. I took apart the 3 way valve, and there is some dried glue (at least that's what I think it is) stuck to the spa return side of the housing (this valve has been in place for years and was not part of the project I did...the leak has been hidden by the fact that the spillover couldn't be shutoff before). I've attached a photo. What would be the best way to address this? I tried using my fingernails to pull it off and that didn't help. I'm sure I could pry it off, but am afraid I might make things worse. Suggestions?

In case anyone else ever has this problem, I took the valve apart again and cleaned it and reset the cam stop so that the valve seal would sit on a different spot, and now the leak has been gone for over a week.
