Hello All,

Robot has been flawless for about 5 seasons. Tried to turn on after its last cycle and nothing. Checked power to power supply and cord connections. Dirt Devil Avenger with Aquapower power supply. Start light turns solid blue when pressed (as it normally does) but turns off within approx. 15-20 seconds with no response from robot.

I have no model#'s, etc. Will post when I can. Just seeing if there is an obvious place to start troubleshooting.

Thanks for any help,

John

Ouch! Not liking the numbers ($) for that part. Can I test power supply output at the 4-prong receptacle? Or, are there ohm readings I can verify at 4-prong plug at end of the cord? Can't find a schematic to guide me re power, ground, etc.

Only two of those 4 pins are used on the pack end of that plug, one positive and one negative on the DC. Unfortunately when I took training at Aqua Products for these style units they basically just told me I should have working versions of each major component on hand and start plugging and playing until it works, no voltage/ohm numbers to start probing for. You can disconnect the cable from the drive motor and test continuity just to be safe, but then if the cable is good you're stuck with a disconnected cable that you have to connect heat shrink back together.

I see you're actually pretty local to my shop and if you want to PM me I can tell you our address, or you can get it from Aqua Products themselves to drop off as we're the only ones on Long Island they really recommend. But we do charge a bench fee and I'm telling you now that I'd put money on a dead pump motor, and if you don't like the price from Inyo Pools you're not going to like mine either. Most people just don't even fix it and get a new unit.
