DE in Pool - Help requested

I replaced the Grids this saturday and recharged the grids with DE. I woke up in the AM Sunday and there was DE in the Pool at where the jststream was. I ran the robot with fine filters and when it finished its cycle the filters were loaded with DE.,

I order a new manifold and air finger on top, Will be here later this week. Any other Ideas of what could be causing the issue?

I think you are on the right track.
Check to determine if the grids are properly seated in the manifold. It may not be a crack.
Since you used the word “replaced” does that mean the grids are new and should not be the cause for DE leaking through it.

The air screen and the manifold are the 2 most likely issues if the grids are new and they are properly seated in the manifold.

There is also an oring on the standpipe where the manifold attaches to it.

Thanks I will order the O ring and the manifold I ordered comes completely assembled. Can you help with the O ring part number? I though it was DEX2400Z5 for my 3620 but I am not sure. Looking for the O rings that is on the tube where the manifold slides onto. Ordered this

I had ordered just the manifold however I wanted to be sure that my assembly skills were not the the issue. I have a manifold coming and will rotate on next cleaning to see if i got it right. This way I have a complete back up.

If the assembly I did was incorrect, I do not thing the top and bottom would have assembled ? The threaded rod was not that long

Good plan. All it takes is one grid to be a little off to cause a leak so just double check them whenever you take it apart in the future. A cracked manifold is hard to see as it may only expose its crack when flow is going through it. I hope you can find the issue.

Any tips on the best way to rinse the grids before reassembly into the new manifold?

I just stand them against a wall and hit them with a hose.

Installed new complete filter internal. Grids,
Top manifold and base. All I needed to do was install the air bleeder finger at the top with a nut driver.

Problem is solved for now. The robot with fine filters is diligently removing the De from the pool. He’s on his 4 cycle and it is finally getting to be less in each cleaning.

I ordered a new manifold but it was delayed in shipping. I’ll rebuild the one mostly bc I need to learn how to do this correctly.

All I see that might be wrong with my install is some of the filter material is in with a few holes where the grids sit.
