DE in my sand filter

Hello, I decided to try to add DE to my sand filter last night- following instructions on the forums and pool school link.

in my case, I added 1/4 cup, twice, before i saw a psi change. So 1/2 cup total.

anyway, i did that last night before bed. The water was very clear before I added DE, but there were some particles visible at lights.

there could be placebo effect here, but wow the clarity seen this morning in the water is really incredible. I would say this step is like an optional polish to the water. Recommended!

Any questions going forward with the DE? Remember you don't have to do it after all backwashes, only as desired. Keep an eye on the PSI gauge as it will rise faster than you're accustomed to, as you probably read
