I finally got my water high enough to run the filter. I tied my sock full of CYA near the return. Being that I just got the pump running, I don't want to run it overnight in case there is a problem. Calling for storms tomorrow. :( Is it safe to leave the sock hanging without the pump running? It's an intex ultra frame. Only a small portion of the sock hits against the liner.
 
Went out and made something to hang it on. Still want to make sure it's okay without the pump on.

I must admit, this is my first time using the CYA, even though I've been using the TFP method a few years. In my 18' pool, I just used powdered shock until I reached my target,due to the smaller pool size. New things make me nervous, ha ha.
