Construction underway - Houston

Well, construction has finally started! We had to go back to the builder for a number of things based on the recommendations given here and I'm much more confident that we are getting the pool we want that is better built and ended up costing us less money. So, for those still in the process, take the advice of the people here. It will definitely work out in your favor!

Here we are at the end of day 2. Day 1 saw the hole being dug into this lovely clay that seems like it can double for a brick wall. That stuff is hard! Today rebar went in. Inspections are scheduled for tomorrow and crossing my fingers for gunite on Friday!

More updates! Gunite was finished last Thursday and they have cleaned up the yard to prep for the next phase of work. I've been watering the gunite twice a day. Everything is coming along well so far!

Plumbing and equipment installation has begun. It looks like they've gotten most everything plumbed and mostly with 2" lines. They still have a fairly large gas reroute to do, but that should hopefully be finished tomorrow!

Alright, next update! Tile and coping has started. We made a quick change here once we got to thinking about the size of the wall where our water feature goes, but thankfully we weren't to a point where we couldn't change it.

Made a bit of a jump here as we got so caught up in the every day activity of the pool that I forgot to make an update! Here it is in all of its glory! Next up is startup where they figure out how to program the Intellicenter. I was only able to change the date/time and connect it to WiFi!
