Colorlogic Light

I have put 2 Colorlogic lights in my pool. One lasted 3 months and the other lasted one summer. I will not put another one in. What is the BEST light I can put in my pool? I really don't care about all the colors that the Colorlogic had, but I do like a blue light. I had another pool 30 years ago and the light just had a simple plastic lens you snapped over the light. Can you buy a light that has a bulb so if it goes out you can just change the bulb? I just want a good light that will last for years?

One option you may find appealing is to install a standard niche but use LED bulbs. There have been a few recent threads about this, but I don't have the links handy. But certainly you can replace the niche with a non-LED fixture.

I only have ColorLogic experience so that won't work.

I too would be interested in a simple light system. I have a large pool with many ColorLogic lights. They have a 1 year warranty and I find they last on average about 2-3 years at most. I have had to replace all of them except for the smaller ones. They are not worth the exorbitant price they charge. I really don't understand what engineer puts all the chips for this light under the water. It makes no sense. I agree - what happen to just having a sealed bulb? Even if it was $100. In the 4 seasons I have owned a pool, I have felt like Hayward products are the worse you can get. Maybe all products just don't last in the water - I've only owned a pool 4 years. But other than the pump, nothing of Hayward's stuff has lasted.
