The cell was running 100% 24/7 and still not keeping up and that's where they brought me in. Brought water to slam level and water started to cloud up pretty bad. Never experienced this but perhaps someone knows. The filter cartridges were cleaned well and weren't terribly dirty and no unusual color just grayish. Not sure if and what was used prior and op is clueless with all and everything. He did mention that previous pool company said something he thinks about phosphates being high and they intended to take the pool out of service for a day to lower it.Could this just be an algae fight. Thanks in advance, Allan

We've seen clear water SLAMs go cloudy at first. The OPs say 'it was clear and you made it worse!!!'.

I've found the spouse to be suspect many times also. I'd get called in for a problem and the spouse tried to fix something on the sneak so I had two problems. They may have added buck wild with cal hypo trying to help but the one you're talking to doesn't know.

I'd proceed with the SLAM as normal and see how it shakes out.

The water was simply clear but had to do what I had to do. Kept adding 12.5% until I was reaching slam and was clear up to that point then all of a sudden it looked like curdling from the bottom. While brushing the water was sudsing. Need to go see what the water looks like and proceed with the slam, thanks.
