CH testing

I am having trouble with CH testing.
My sample does not turn blue easily. Stays pink for long time. When I get it tested, ch comes at 325ish each time. When I test it at home, by time it turns blue it would indicate 500 or 600ish result.
I'm not getting a clear turn point and wonder if there are specific things I can do during the test, to help that be more precise. Advice greatly welcome. Thanks.

Do you use a speed stir / smart stir for testing? If not I highly recommend getting one. It does all the swirling for you, and makes it a lot easier to get consistent results, especially if you’re using a lot of drops.

Aside from that - general tips to make sure to hold the bottle straight up/down and squeeze just hard enough to let the drop form. Let the drop form fully and drip into the test vial. (A lot easier to do if you’re not having to manually swirl at the same time.)

You can also practice with your tap/fill water. It’s good to have that number as a baseline anyway.

Make sure your reagents aren’t expired. CH seems to have the shortest shelf life of them all and can give wildly wrong readings if the reagent is bad.
