Hi....I'm not new to pools, I used to lifeguard, had to test water daily...but only chlorine and ph. Had an above ground pool for years, then got away from it. With grandkids, started to realize how much i missed having a pool, so decided to jump back in. I wanted to try the TFP method, I bought a Taylor Test kit (K1004), and now i see that is probably not adequate. My chlorine barely registers, i keep testing and adding liquid chlorine daily. Can i just buy the Taylor regent for CYA? Do I need anything else? I searched but haven't found an answer so far.
Edit: Well, looks like i posted too soon, i will need a bottle and test tube, as well as the regent. Or i could get the Blue Devil CYA test kit. Thoughts?
Thanks!

You should get either the K2006C or the TF-100. The TF-100 is the better deal.

The K1004 doesnt have the FAS-DPD required for using TFP guidelines. You can get a K1515 to add the FAS-DPD and then get a CYA test separately with a tube 9193 and reagent R-0013.

TF-testkits.net has all that stuff.
