Black stuff on skimmer

Having people over this afternoon so I cleaned the pool with the manual vaccum and skimmed it. I noticed some strange darkness on the skimmer when I'd take it out to dump bugs. I dragged it once the length to get a better idea and it came away with a thick dark line. What the heck is it? I haven't done anything recently other than clean the filters about 5 days ago. We did get an inch of rain last night. And I found a baby bunny in the pool this morning (he's fine, found the stop step), we were concerned when mom built the den less than a foot from the pool border.

New pool owner, only had this a month.

Maybe the bunny pooped in the pool. Twice, my kids have pooped in the pool and both times I scooped it out right away and shocked, and both times I ended up with a black greasy line in my skimmer. I assumed it was just oils and grime from sunblock until it happened the second time.

Probably just a scum line from oils and suncreen combined with dirt. Gotta go wife mine off with a Mr. Clean now! Sun popped out!
