I guess it depends on how much pressure it’s putting on those wall stones and how deep the lower stones are in the ground. I had the same 24x12 Costco pool that I was aetting up next to my 4 foot tall retaining wall and realized the same thing was gonna happen. It made me nervous plus I wanted space to walk around the pool for servicing, so I downsized to a 20x10 instead. I’m glad I did.

That looks too close. When the pool is full & being used there will be flex & movement- this is by design. You don’t want to impede that. Every one I have seen full has those straps tight so I would say that you have a problem. Is it like that on both sides?
