Just thought I’d ask the other Brits where you’re all buying test kits etc from in case I’m missing a trick

This is one of those cases where Amazon is the only real option. It's very hard to buy a good test kit in the UK and Amazon takes care of the difficult paperwork of importing it from the US - Amazon.co.uk
There are certainly other test kits that are available in the UK but they all have various downsides that make it hard to follow the Trouble Free Pool approach. I've bought about 8 different test kits (Lovibond / Palintest / PoolLab / Salifert) and the Taylor kit is the one I normally use.
The Taylor kit is the "small" version in the link above, the version ending with a "C" is the larger one and I've not found anywhere to buy it unfortunately. For my indoor pool I have topped up two components from the kit since I bought it - Amazon.com and Amazon.com (this one comes and goes in availability, seems to be unavailable at the moment).
