If you are referring to the operation of the SWG, go as low as you can to keep the flow switch happy. Perhaps about 1200 - 1400 rpm. Length of time will depend on how much FC you need to produce. You can also run the VSP lower if all you are doing is skimming the water's surface. You might program it to a higher rpm once or twice a day just to purge any air in the pump pot or when adding chemicals. You have lots of flexibility.

I love my V Green motor but if you already had 1 motor die from electrical issues I would get a surge protector on your setup ASAP.. these are all the ones I have, Oklahoma loves black outs, brown outs, spikes, lighting strikes and you name it...

On each plug in the house

On the Air conditioner

On your pump panel

On your main house panel

Our Hayward died due to a 220 one leg fail (brown out). We didn't have a spike as no other devises: motors, TVs, etc. had an issue.
A surge protector due to the electronics in the V Green does make sense.
Thanks,
paul
