Yesterday I noticed that I have green algae in the nooks under my pool ladder steps. There is also a bit of green algae in my pool light fixtures. I have a SWCG and my pool water is clear and chemical levels are good (FC is 6, CC is 0, CYA is 60, pH is 7.5, TA is 80).
There are some older threads around here that implies that this is common in areas of stagnant water and other than cleaning them on a regular basis that this is to be expected. I used my pressure washer to clean the ladder steps thoroughly.
Anyone come up with any better ideas on this subject? And should you clean this on a regular basis. Or just forget about it and clean when you pool is opened or closed - my pool is open from May-Oct.
