Hi all. The other day I noticed spots of algae on the outside of the skimmer wall. I cleaned it off with some bleach. Today I noticed some algae on the vacuum and few spots on the hose. I haven't seen any on the walls or floor of the pool. I cleaned the spots off the vacuum and hose. Chemical test show low CYA. Everything else seemed good. I raised the chlorine level on the SWG. Is that okay? The water is pretty warm here in AZ with the temps around 110F. I added 2lbs. of chlorine stabilizer. Any idea why the algae is forming? Do I need to shock or add chlorine?

I would perform this test tonight if you read this...Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

If not, do tomorrow.

If you fail, the follow the SLaM process. Link-->SLAM Process
I did the test and the number went down by 1. I'm assuming the pool passed. I'll have to keep an eye out if any more algae shows up. Should I keep the chlorine setting at 50 or higher or add more chlorine?
