I think I misunderstood about aeration. Can someone clarify?

I thought I only had to worry about raising pH higher when the return eyeballs rippled the pool surface.

If they do NOT ripple the surface, and are pointed down or sideways, does the water flow under the surface also cause the pH to rise?

Thanks!

FC is normal for my CYA. No one has been swimming since the kids and grandkids last Saturday.

What about toddlers in swim diapers? I have no idea if there is anything in one of those swim diapers that would raise the pH, but I am sure my grandson probably peed in the pool more than once! Does urine raise pH? I know it use more FC.
