Pool filter locking ring assembly

I just woke up this morning to see that my pool filter locking ring assembly is cracked. I am assuming it cannot be repaired and the only option is to replace the ring, right? Any thoughts on where to buy the ring? Amazon has it for 51 dollars. Is that a good price (seems high for a piece of plastic ).

Without knowing the brand and/or model of the filter we can't provide much help. I'd say you're right about not being able to repair it, but can't even be sure of that without more info.

This time of year, whoever has it in stock is a good place to buy it.

I'd be wary of even running the pump with a sketchy clamp. You'd be amazed how fast pressure can build and launch the filter lid.
