Took the cover off the pool today!
Cloudy, but not green, so pretty happy about that.
After some vacuuming and having the filter run for about 4 hours I did my tests. (waiting on the FAS DPD add-on kit, so just used the Taylor 2005 so far)
FC 3
TC 2
CC 1
PH 7
CYA didn't register (so < 30)
CH 150
TA 60
I took the water to the pool store to confirm - first time using the Taylor kit.
Their values were
FC 2.67
TC 2.98
CC .31
PH 7.3
TA 69
CYA 5
CH 189
My plan is to first get CYA up to 40 - hung a sock in front of the return
- as this is a "expensive" test to run, since it uses so much of the reagent - when would be a recommend time to test again, now that I've got my sock in there?
What's next?
Pool store has my CC < 0.5, so I dont think I need to SLAM, but am open to advice on this as it's my first time with this method.
Pictures!
after opening, and vacuuming the shallow end.
